Web Design

Frustrated Computer UserToo much to do and not enough time to do it, that's life in the information age. Time was you could be a jack-of-all-trades, personally handling every facet of your business. That's not possible now. You hire accountants to look after your taxes, advertising people to write copy and build your public image and consultants to help with all the other tasks you don't have the time or skillset for. The same holds for your internet presence.

But there are so many choices! If you
Google for help, you come up with more results than you can count. There's no way to even check out the tiniest fraction of those, and no guarantee that the people you finally do choose will do the job right. So how do you choose?

We suggest you look at what they stand for.

Our Goals:

  • Your satisfaction.
  • Quality craftsmanship.
  • Clean, simple, elegant design.

The Process

Web DesignerYour input is key in the design process. To that end, we strive to maintain a constant flow of dialogue during the design and implementation process.

Step 1: Initial Consultation

We meet with you to learn about your business and goals in creating your website. We'll ask about things like current marketing and advertisements, gather materials such as ad-copy and company logo. We'll also ask you about ideas you may have for color schemes & things you've seen on the web that you liked the look & feel of. During this phase we'll also flesh out the basic framework of the site, including what sections you need, what order you need them in and things you'd like included (flash animation, PDFs, etc).

Step 2: Mockup

We take the input you've given us and make a mockup of several pages on our production server, so you can get an idea of how your website will look and operate. At this time you can make suggestions changes as you see fit. Once you're happy with the mockup of the site, we proceed to...

Step 3: Main Construction

During this phase we flesh out the framework we've laid for the site. This phase will include tuning of copy, framework, and layout changes/additions/deletions, etc. Towards the end of this phase we'll look ahead to search engine submission and come up with a number of descriptive phrases needed for the search engine submission process.

Step 4: Tuning and Testing

This phase includes any final changes required (ie spelling, grammar, phrasing) and final testing of the website's functionality. Once everything is tested and ok'd, the website is moved to your live, public server and we'll submit it to the various search engine and links directories.
