Telecom Education Contest

The Contest

In conjunction with the Academy of Telecommunications Learning, TCC will hold a draw once a month for three free tuitions to the Academy's Fundamentals of Telecommunications online course (a $249 value!). This course is a complete introduction of the fundamentals of telecommunications and is designed to give entry-level skills to those seeking work in the telecommunications field.

If you would like employment in the telecommunications industry, our courses will give you the knowledge required to be able to work effectively in a large number of positions.

If you are already working in the telecommunications field but your knowledge is limited to a small sector, ATL's courses offer an excellent opportunity for professional development. Your knowledge will become all encompassing of the industry.

Regardless of your present status, the Fundamental of Telecommunications and our other courses will improve your candidacy for the position you'd like to attain in the future.

The Material

ATL's course consists of the following modules:

Module #1: Introduction to Converging Communications
Provides an explanation how the different aspects of the telecommunications industry are merging into one voice and data network.

Module #2: Introduction to Telecommunications Technology
Delivers an up to date overview of the basic technology and terms associated with this ever-changing industry.

Module #3: Introduction to Communications Equipment
Covers all areas of Customer Premise Equipment including PBX, Key Systems and Centrex technology.

Module #4: Introduction to Communication Networks
All facets of networks including LANs and WANs are covered in this engrossing course.

Module #5: Introduction to Data Communications
With more and more voice data going over data lines, this course shows the various methods such as ATM, Broadband and ADSL.

Module #6: Introduction to Wireless Transmission
Wireless Communications is one of the fastest growing technologies in the field of telecommunications. This course shows the basics needed to succeed.

Module #7: Introduction to the Internet
Provides a solid foundation on both the Internet and Intranet technology.

Standard Testing
Each course has 3 tests and a final exam comprised of at least 10-15 questions to assure mastery of the material by the student and provide progress status for management.

By filling out the form below, you'll be entered into this month's contest (only one entry per month, please) to be drawn on the first of the month. Those who do not win this month are elegible for the next month's drawing.
