He has held staff engineering positions, been a Gartner Group consultant and for several years, before engaging in the founding of BCS, run his own consulting engineering firm. <BR> <BR> Rob's core competencies include the key components of network architecture and project implementation. These include LAN/WAN multi-protocol network design, LAN/WAN multi-protocol network architecture, strategic network technology planning, project management, Information technology assessment and vendor selection, network security Standards and technologies.<BR> <BR> Rob has acted as senior network architect for wireline, wireless and cable networks operators including Clearnet, Rogers Cable and Unitel (now AT&T Canada) and has done the same for major users, such as the Bank of Nova Scotia and Magna. He has also owned and operated his own successful telecommunications consulting practice. <BR> <BR> In the mid 1980's while at CNCP Telecommunications (now AT&T Canada), Mike worked in a team of five engineers that built a state of the art coast to coast digital switched voice network in Canada from the ground up.<BR> <BR> Mike holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a registered professional engineer.
